or the last 43 years Tajima has led the way in the development of new technologies for embroidery professionals around the world. The most apparent demonstration of this leadership is when Tajima introduces new lines of products. For example, Tajima recently introduced the new TEMX-C advanced arm-type machine, and has several new machine announcements that will be made over the next several months. While these announcements are big news within the embroidery industry, if you really want to take a look at where Tajima truly impacts its customers helping them become more productive with more capabilities, look no further than when Tajima introduces new devices, peripherals or new advancements that may appear on all new models.

Tajima has by far the broadest R&D effort in the industry. Overshadowing all of its competitors. That’s why Tajima has more patents worldwide than all other embroidery companies combined, and why more people embroider on Tajima machines than any other brand.

So what is Tajima cooking up now for its customers? Read on to find out the latest innovations designed to make you as profitable as possible in the embroidery business.

Ball Screw Color Change

With the TEMX-C machine, Tajima is introducing a new color change system that replaces the existing cam mechanism with a ball screw system. This system also employs a dedicated pulse motor that together with the ball screw dramatically increases the velocity of color changes, as well improves precision of sewing. In fact, the TEMX-C is so precise that you can literally adjust the needle position from the control panel. Additionally, this system is more durable and provides for lower maintenance, reducing operating costs.

Twin Blade ATH

The Twin Blade Automatic Trimming and Holding System (ATH) is a new advancement on Tajima's industry standard thread trimming system. This type of mechanism puts much less stress on the thread for a cleaner trim. It is being introduced on the new TEMX-C and will be available on other machines in the future. As with all advancements created by Tajima, the Twin Blade ATH is designed to lower maintenance costs as well as perform better.

Pocket Clamp

The Tajima Pocket Clamp is designed to easily hold finished shirt pockets for embroidery. You simply open the clamp, place the lower clamp frame between the pocket panel and the shirt, and clamp down the top clamp for a super secure fit. You can also affix the shirt to the clamp off the machine and then slide it into its locked position for sewing. The Pocket Clamp System easily fits onto Tajima's existing wide cap system. The Pocket Clamp is available in two configurations, a portrait format with an effective sewing area of 100mm tall x 75mm wide (3.94” x 2.95”) and a landscape format with an effective sewing area of 65mm tall x 100mm wide (2.56” x 3.94”)

Twin Type Sequin Device Ⅱ

Among all of its achievements, one of the most important is the development of the sequins device. Tajima almost single handedly brought back the use of sequins in mass produced fashion by automating the attachment process on its embroidery machines. Step by step the company developed more capabilities in this area, and is now in the midst of developing its most advanced sequins device for a future release, the Twin Type Sequins Device Ⅱ. Now two different size and/or color sequins can be attached with a single device. Because just like previous devices, this take the place of a single needle and can sit on either side of the head, you will have the ability to attach up to four different sequins and up to 13 colors on each 15 needle head. This device also uses Tajima's new ball screw system instead of pneumatic air cylinders, for more precise, maintenance-free sewing and sequins attachment.

MT-1 Coiling Device

The MT-1 lets you add beautiful coiling to your chain and loop stitching made with the TCMX Series adds tremendous value to embellished goods, and enhancing your capabilities, The MT-1 is a factory option that is ordered with the TCMX.

Under Thread Bobbin Changer Ⅱ

The Under Thread Bobbin Changer (UBC) was originally developed by Tajima to dramatically increase operator and machine productivity by exchanging empty bobbin cases with full bobbin case on all heads, at one time. Tajima had found out that bobbin replacement was a much heavier burden on operators that anyone ever expected. And the time spent to replace bobbin severely affected productivity of the machine. On a typical 20-head machine for example, it took 7-8 minutes to change bobbins, Over an 8-hour shift, this translated to almost 9% of downtime. Conversely, at a push of a button Tajima's UBC automatically changed bobbins in 20 seconds, eliminating this productivity issue. The UBC Ⅱ-to be released in this near future-is an advanced version that switches from a pneumatic air-controlled mechanism to reliable and accurate pulse motors, for much lower maintenance and more reliable operation. Up to three bobbins can be stored for changing per head.

Tajima's Continual Improvement Process… in Action
It’s not enough to constantly lead the market in technology and craftsmanship. Although Tajimas are recognized as the best built machines in the world, there is no doubt that they can always be improved. And Tajima has a built-in network of embroidery technicians (also the largest in the world) who are constantly in the field, getting feedback and even ideas from customers. At the latest technical meeting that took place in late July at Tajima America Corp headquarters, technical staffers from all North and South America distributors met over four days to see the latest innovations from Tajima, as well as review all customers’ requirements and share new ideas on how to handle issues in the field. This platform not only created collaboration among all of the technical managers in North and South America, but helped Tajima technicians solve customer needs and create better solutions for the future. This is and example of the commitment we have to ensuring our customers have the best opportunities for maximizing their profitability. And another reason why there is no embroidery machine like a Tajima.
