A wall and pillar of the temple are made by two kinds of applique pieces. An applique is applied to the total architecture and fixed by a transparent thread.
Main part is fixed with stitches to express shade of the temple. And some components of the temple create 3-D effect against the background, using an applique piece.

A pattern of the water surface is expressed in stitches of metallic yarn on regular Tatami stitches. Moreover, low density Tatami stitches are overlapped once more and sandwich metallic yarn to express the Golden Pavilion on the water surface.

Parts of wooded area are fixed in random running stitches. And the stitches in three colors of threads are creating gradation to give perspective.
